Jeannie Bell
Spanish I, II, III Born and raised in Indiana, Mrs. Bell went to college married the love of her life and raised her three children in Illinois.  She earned her Bachelor Degree at the University of St. Francis ('88) with a math major and a Spanish minor.  Her math/Spanish teaching degree has allowed her to do what she loves: encourage, challenge, and believe in the teens of today.  Jeannie has taught in Catholic High Schools for 15+ years.  A family visit to Kentucky was all it took for the Bell family to say adiós to Illinois.  They now call Kentucky their home.

Jesse Cantrall

English, Physical Education

Bachelor's degree in English and Applied Arts from WKU in 2008.  Master's in Education Administration and Secondary Education from the University of the Cumberlands.

Laura Craig AP U.S. History, U.S. History, American Government and AP Government and Politics.  Education: BA in History and English and AA in Theology from Thomas More College, MA in History from Miami University (Ohio), currently enrolled in the MAT program at Thomas More.  Student Council sponsor.  Mrs. Craig worked as a teaching assistant at Miami University and the University of Kentucky; she taught at South Park TAPP in Fairdale, Ky last year.  This is her first year at Bethlehem. Mary Ann Downs
Dean of Academics/Academic Team and Future Problem Solving Coach. Education: B.A. in English Education, University of Kentucky. M.A. Occupational Training and Development/Instructional Technology, University of Louisville. Associate Catechist certification, Archdiocese of Louisville. Mrs. Downs is a 1985 graduate of Bethlehem. She taught English in public schools for ten years before joining the Bethlehem staff in 2008.  As Dean of Academics, Mrs. Downs serves in an administrative role regarding curriculum and assessment, scheduling, professional development and school policy. Keith Graham
P.E./Health/Economics Teacher, Retired public school administrator and educator.  Received a Bachelor's of Education from the  University of Kentucky and a Master's and Rank I in Education Administration from Western Kentucky University.  Mr. Graham is an assistant football coach.  Keith is married to Kelly who is principal at Panther Academy in Elizabethtown.  They have two college age students,  Clay and Taylor.  Email:

Barbara Greenwell
Business Manager. Education: B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, 1978. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2003. Graduate of Bethlehem High School, 1974. She is the parent of 4 sons that graduated from Bethlehem.
Lynn HamiltonLynn Hamilton
College Bound English I, Honors English I, AP Language and Composition. Education: B.A. in Communication from University of Kentucky, B.A. in Education from Northern Kentucky University, M.A. in Education from Northern Kentucky University. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2011. Mrs. Hamilton began her teaching career at Conner Junior High in Boone County, KY in 1981. Since then, she has taught at Nelson County High School, Marion County High School, Washington County High School, and her last 17 years at Bardstown Middle and High School. She retired after 30 years of teaching from public education and began at Bethlehem in 2011. She is married to Tom Hamilton, the principal at Bethlehem, and they have four children. Mrs. Hamilton loves sports and is the tennis coach at Bethlehem. Email:
Stuart Hamilton
Religion Teacher. Education: Theology and English Literature, Minor in Theater from Bellarmine University. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2008. Mr Hamilton is the sponsor of the Pro-Life Club and facilitates student participation in Ignite Your Torch, the March for Life and the National Catholic Youth Conference.  He is the assistant director of two student drama productions each year.
Tom HamiltonTom Hamilton
Principal. Education: A.B. Secondary Education, University of Kentucky. M.A. Science Education, Northern Kentucky University. Rank I, Administration and Supervision, Xavier University. Associate Catechist certification, Archdiocese of Louisville. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2008, Mr. Hamilton has over 30 years teaching and administrative experience.  Before becoming principal here, he served as an associate superintendent and principal in the Bardstown City School System. Mr. Hamilton also served as an administrator and athletic director at Washington County High School. He began his career as a teacher and a coach at Simon Kenton High School in Northen Kentucky.
Patricia HarrisonPatricia Harrison
Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biology Teacher. Education: B.S. from the University of Kentucky. Master of Education from the University of Louisville. Over 30 years teaching experience. Member National Science Teachers Association.

Jan HowardJan Howard
Bookkeeper. Education: Associate's in Computer Information Systems. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2007, Mrs. Howard is a graduate of Bethlehem and is mother of two graduates.

Mara Huston
Intro to Art Design, Art II, Computer Graphic Arts, Photoshop, and Digital Photography. Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky. Employed at Bethlehem since 1998 with over 20 years teaching experience. She is the proud mother of Bethlehem graduates Olivia and Madalynn. She is a member of the Kentucky Arts Council and is a Roster Artist. Ms. Huston is a Professional Artist and Graphic Designer. She was awarded the Optimist Club Teacher of the Year for 2010-11.

Katie Kiefer

Education: B. S. in Secondary Education: English from the University of Louisville.  As a recent graduate of Bethlehem. Ms. Kiefer is excited to be back with her Bethlehem family for her first year of teaching.  Previously, Ms. Kiefer did her student teaching at Assumption High School.  She was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Candidate Award in Middle and Secondary Language Arts Education at UofL.  When not teaching, Ms. Kiefer can be performing with the theatre group, Acting Against Cancer.

Sarah Kremer
Sophomore Honors English, History of Visual and Performing Arts.  Education: B.A. in English from Indiana University Southeast and an M.S. degree  in Recreation and Athletic Administration from Western Kentucky University. She is the freshman volleyball coach and the Speech Team co-coach. She is a native of Louisville but now lives in Bardstown with husband Chris and daughter Lily, who attends St. Joseph. 

Rita KoontzRita Koontz
Career and College Guidance Counselor: Education from Austin Peay State University. M.Ed. from University of Louisville. Rank I from University of Louisville. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2010. Ms. Koontz began her teaching career in Hardin County in 1983. In 1997 she came to Bardstown and was employed by Bardstown Independent Schools. After 27 years as a public school teacher, Ms. Koontz retired and came to Bethlehem. Ms. Koontz' hobbies include reading, working with technology, hiking and bird watching. Her favorite things to do are spending time with family and interacting with students . Email:
Ron KoontzRon Koontz
Dean of Students, Transportation Director, Head Football Coach. Education: B.A. in Secondary Education from Austin Peay. M.Ed in History from University of Louisville. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2010. Mr. Koontz began his teaching and coaching career in Hardin County, KY in 1984. Mr. Koontz retired fron public education and came to Bethlehem in 2010 as Football Head Coach and Dean of Students. His hobbies include reading, football, history and military simulations / reenactments. Email:

Chasity Livers Algebra I and II Education: B.S. in Education: Math from Spalding University. M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Spalding University.  Mrs. Livers began her teaching career in 2006 at St. Joseph School in Bardsotwn.  Mrs. Livers received the Catholic Education Foundation Teacher Award in 2013 and was a scholarship recipient of Honeywell Educators at Space Academy in 2016.  This is her first year at Bethlehem.

Sr Mary Ninette Manning
Personal Counselor. Education: B.S. in Elementary Education from Nazareth College, 1965 MA in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University, 1974. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 1982. Sister Mary Ninette is a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Sister worked for the Family Counseling Office of the Archdiocese of Louisville from 1982-2007 while she was doing personal counseling at Bethlehem. Sister has served on the Boards of Spalding University and Flaget Hospital and is currently on the Western Province Board of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. She is very active in her SCN Community and enjoys watching the students at Bethlehem grow and mature.
Chris Mattingly 

Religion Teacher. Education: B.A. Psychology and Liberal Arts, St. Catharine College. Pursuing  Masters of Theology at St. Meinrad Seminary. Previously attended Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and engaged in ecumenical dialogue with various Christian denominations. Serves as a Pastoral Care Minister for the Sisters Of Loretto Infirmary.

Connie McDowell
Intro to Biology, AP Biology, College Anatomy and Physiology, College Environmental Science and Forensic Science. Education: BS from Centre College. MAT from the University of Louisville. Employed at Bethlehem since 1988. She is a 1983 graduate.  Mrs. McDowell is the Science Department Chair and 4-H Advisor.  She has received the Catholic Education Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Governor's Scholar Outstanding Educator Award, and the first Bethlehem High School Educator of the Year in May 2003.  She is a member of the National Science Teacher's Association and the National Association of Biology Teachers.
Christi Medley
Director of Advancement. Education: B.A. in Recreation Education from the University of Louisville. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2007. Mrs. Medley has over 30 years of experience in Advancement and Fund Development. Her personal hobbies include running, working out, golf and guitar. She loves her job at Bethlehem and never ceases to be amazed at the commitment and generosity of Bethlehem and St. Joe Prep Alumni. Email:
Tom Moss
Mathematics. Education: B.A. in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Berea College. M.A. Secondary Education with emphasis on Mathematics from the University of Kentucky. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2008. Mr. Moss taught at the University of Kentucky and Henry Clay High School for 30 years. Mr. Moss assisted in the writing of College Algebra, College Trigonometry, and Elementary Calculus textbooks with Chris Vancil. Recipient of the 2012 Dan Ulmer Award for Teaching.
Patty Nevitt
Learning Lab Coordinator, Assistant Athletic Director, Alumni Director. Education: B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, 1974. MA in Education at the University of Louisville, 1977.  '67 Bethlehem Graduate. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2002. Mrs. Nevitt retired after 29 years in the Nelson County School System. Recipient of the Catholic Education Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, Bethlehem Alumni Hall of Fame and the 5th Region Athletic Director's Hall of Fame. Email:
Sandra O'HareSandra O'Hare
Director of Marketing and Assistant Librarian. Education: B.S. in Business Education with an Endorsement in Technology from Eastern Kentucky University, 1997. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2008. Mrs. O'Hare returned to college as a non-traditional student. After graduation from Eastern Kentucky University she began teaching at St. Catharine College in 1997. Later she became Director of Alumni and Annual Fund in the Advancement Department at St. Catharine. She began part-time at Bethlehem in 2007 and accepted a full-time position in 2008. Mrs. O'Hare's passion is her grandchildren, Conner and Braden. She enjoys watching most sports and cheering on the Banshees and Eagles.

Carla RogersCarla Rogers
Secretary. Education: Certified Dental Assistant. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 2005. Mrs. Rogers worked in Louisville at Humana Inc. as a Records Cleck and was later an Executive Secretary to the HR Director. She went back to school in her 30's to pursue her interest in the dental field and graduated from ECC board certified. After working in the dental field, she was given the opportunity to work at Bethlehem and gladly accepted. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking, scrapbooking and watching Bethlehem soccer and basketball.

Food Service Manager. Graduate from Bethlehem High School, Class of 1974. Employed at Bethlehem High School for 40 years. Member of American School Food Service Association and Chapter Member of the Louisville School Food Service.
Fran SpauldingFran Spaulding
Accounting I, Computer Applications, Marketing Principles, Broadcasting.  Education: BA from the University of Kentucky. Masters of Business Education from the University of Kentucky. Employed at Bethlehem High School since 1987. Mrs. Spaulding is the Producer of Star News, the Yearbook Sponsor and the Swim Team Coach. She is a member of the Business Educator's Association.
