Bluegrass Cellular Contest - $1,000.  700 words or less essay on safe smartphone habits and how they relate to cyberbullying.  Open to students in grades 9 - 12.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  March 25, 2017.

Nelson County Farm Bureau Scholarship - Parents must be a member of Nelson County Farm Bueara as of January 1.  Short essay of 300 words or less, "Why you are applying for this scholarship."  Three letters of recommendation and a brief bio are required.  Application in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  March 31, 2017.

Courage to Grow Scholarship - $500.  Minimum 2.5 gpa and 250 word essay, why you believe you should be awarded this scholarship.  Deadline:  March 31, 2017.

Kentucky Federation of Republican Women Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be a high school senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party.  A one-page typed essay about a Republican woman you admire or who has influenced your life and why. Application in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  April 1, 2017.

Next Generation Nelson County - $1,000.  One Bethlehem student's application will be selected.  1250 - 1500 word essay, "What programs, events, entities or opportunities would entice you to settle in Bardstown after you graduate from college?"  Deadline:  April 1, 2017.

Homelight Scholarship - $1,000.  For students interested in designing homes, building lhomes, placing people in homes, combatting homelessness or studying the housing market.  Deadline:  April 1.

Bluegrass Cellular Scholarship - $1,500.  Applicant or applicant's parent/legal guardian must be a current customer of Bluegrass Cellular.  Selection is based on need, academic achievement, school/community involvement, essay and letters of recommendation.  Deadline:  April 1, 2017.

American Legion Post 42 - $500 Scholarship.  Must be a child of a Bardstown Police Officer or Nelson County Sheriff.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  April 1, 2017.

KY Home Extension Master Gardeners Association Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be a Nelson County resident planning on majoring in forestry, floriculture, green industries, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, environmentally related program or other related field of study.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  April 14, 2017.

Flaget Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship - $1,000.  For students planning on pursuing degrees/careers in the medical field.  Four or five scholarships will be given out to students attending schools in the Nelson county high schools.  Must have a 3.0 cumulative gpa or better.  Application available  in Ms. Koontz's office.  Application deadline:  April 10, 2017.

Howard Roush Memorial Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be a member in good standing with Ft. Knox Federal Credit Union, have a minimum 3.0 gpa.  Deadline:  April 15, 2017.

Central Kentucky Community Action Scholarship - $500.  To qualify for this scholarship, grade point average must equal a B or better, need based and preference given to students going into the field of Social Services, Business, Agriculture, or Education.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  April 17, 2017.

Salt River Electric Scholarship - $1,000.  Must reside on Salt River Electric lines, have a minimum of 2.5 GPA and complete a 500 word essay.  Deadline April 10, 2017.

Kentucky Golf Coaches Association - $1,500.  Must have played golf at the varsity level during the Fall 2016 season.  Short essay maximum 500 words and two letters of recommendations. Application available in Ms. Koontz's office. Application deadline:  April 21, 2017. 

John and Sue Gompper Founders Scholarship - $1,000.  Must have participated in youth soccer.  Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.  Deadline:  April 25, 2017.

Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship - $1,000.  Minimum 3.0 GPA and be accepted into a medical field.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  May 1, 2017.

ABAK Buena S. Bond Memorial Agriculture Scholarship - $1,000. Must have a declared major   in an agricultural related field of study.  Three required essays (500 words or less).  Deadline:  May 15, 2017.

2017 Work Ethic Scholarship - One-time award (school tuition cost) For students enrolled at a community, vocational or technical school in an approved program/trade.  Deadline:  May 19 however applicants are encouraged to apply early.

DialMyCall Scholarship - $1,500.  Most recent gpa must be at least a 2.0.  750 word essay.  Deadline:  May 31, 2017.  

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship - $1,000.  For a high school senior intending to pursue an animation related field and has demonstrated academic success.  Deadline:  June 1, 2017.

Aspiring Business Profesisonal Scholarship - $1,000.  For a high school senior intending to pursue a business related degree program.  Deadline:  June 1, 2017.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program - $2,500.  Must demonstrate financial need.  Deadline: June 15, 2017.

2017 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship - $1,000.  Open to high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing.  500 words or less essay.  Deadline:  June 30, 2017.

 Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship - up to $3,000. This scholarship is for male students planning on attending the University of Louisville. For young men who are dedicated to academics, moral fortitude, and community service.  Deadline:  July 31, 2017. 

Redfin Scholarship - $2,500.  3.0 minimum GPA required.  80 words or less essay.  Deadline:  July 31, 2017.  

Groth & Associates Scholarship - $1,000.  3.0 minimum GPA required.  500 word essay about difficulties or hardships you have had to personally overcome.  Deadline:  July 31, 2017.

Beta Theta Phi Men of Principle Scholarship - $500.  For any incoming male freshman student planning on attending the University of Kentucky and who is devoted to intellectual growth and committed to making the community a better place to live.  Deadline:  August 1, 2017.

Varsity Tutors College Scholarship - $1,000 every month.  Write an essay on a given prompt. There are five monthly winners chosen from the most votes.  Students 16 and over can participate.

Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program / Bluegrass Community and Technical College -
     Earn money while you attend school.  Attend class full time two days a week and work

-Assumption College - Annual $2,500 Scholarship for Catholic High School Students.

- Bellarmine University - Get a $1,000 for simply completing the FAFSA.

~ Thomas More College gives $13,000 to Bethlehem graduates with a 2.5 and minimum 20
     ACT.  Bishop Roger J. Foys Ministry and Service Scholarship up to $32,000 must have at          least a 22 ACT and 3.0 GPA.

~Saint Michael's College in Vermont gives $5,000 per year to graduates from Catholic high
     schools. Admission application must be received by Feb. 1, 2015.

-Seton Hall University - Catholic high school graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a 29             composite ACT will be awarded $2,000 annually for four years.

~Brescia University gives the Catholic Connection Grant (1/2 tuition) from Catholic high
     schools.

~Aquinas College (Nashville) gives $1,000 to students from a Catholic high school.

-Tennessee Tech offers Eagle's Reach Tuition Reduction program, a savings of $11,200 per         year.

-Centre College - All students who apply for admission by January 15 are considered for a              merit scholarship.  Scholarship information link.

~Morehead University will award new freshmen with a minimum 3.25 GPA and 22 ACT a                $2,500 scholarship; a 3.50 and a 25 = $5,000; a 3.75 and 28 ACT = $8.000. Must apply

-To be considered for the William T. Young, Kenan, & Trustee Scholarships at Transylvania
     University,
application must be submitted by December 1.  

-University of Kentucky - Completed admissions application and transcript must be received         by December 1.  Scholarship information link.

-University of Louisville - Honors Program requirements are 3.5 GPA , minimum 29 ACT and
     evidence of leadership, service and rigorous curriculum. Deadline for application is

     UofL Mentored Scholarships (Brown Fellows; Grawemeyer; MLK ; and MCConnell) deadline           is December 15.

     UofL Guaranteed Entrance programs deadline is December 15.

-Western Kentucky University - Honors College application serves as the application for the          Cherry Presidential scholarship if received by December 1.  Admission application                  deadline is November 15.  For all other scholarships, students must be admitted by                January 15th and submit the TopDollar scholarship application and all required                      documents by February 1st.  Scholarship information link.
