Athletics: Boys Basketball

The Bethlehem Eagles compete at the freshman, jv and varsity levels. Open gym is also held for boys not participating in another sport. Practices begin in October. Team play begins in December and continues through post season play in March. A Blue/White Scrimmage is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Contact Artie Braden at abraden@bethlehemhigh.org.

- 2nd rated scoring defense in the state of KY.

Artie Braden

Head Coach Artie Braden

Coach Artie Braden is entering his sixth  year as boys basketball head coach. He began coaching in 1976 at New Haven Jr. High. Since then, he has coached at Nelson County High School, Washington County High School, John Hardin High School, and Bethlehem. His first head coaching position was at Bethlehem. He has since returned here to coach, in addition to teaching physical education.
Coach Braden is a graduate of Larue County High School and Campbellsville University, followed with his Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University. He is a native of Athertonville, KY, currently residing in southern Nelson County. Coach Braden is married to Cathy and has three step-sons.
