Athletics: Football

The Bethlehem Football program is open to any male student who is interested in football.  No prior experience is necessary.  The season runs from August through post season play in late November. Practices begin July 15 and are held daily.  Spring training is held for two weeks in April or May. Bethlehem football has a Varsity and a JV/ Freshman squad.  The Varsity contests are held on Friday nights and the JV contests are usually held one night during the week. Coach Jesse Cantrall

Jesse Cantrall is entering his 10th season of coaching and is in his 1st season as the head coach at Bethlehem High School.

Coach Cantrall comes to Bethlehem after having spent three years at Lexington Catholic.  During that time, Coach Cantrall served as the Offensive Coordinator.  Lexington Catholic won 3 straight district championships, 2 region championships and played in the 2015 state championship during Coach Cantrall's time there.

Prior to his time at Lexington Catholic, Coach Cantrall coached for 5 years at Central Hardin High School. While there, he coached a variety of positions and served as the offensive coordinator.  During Coach Cantrall's final season, Central Hardin won the most games in school history and played for a regional championship.

Coach Cantrall graduated from Central Hardin High School in 2004.  He lettered in football and ran track.  He received his bachelor's degree in English and Allied Arts from WKU in 2008.  Coach Cantrall hold two masters degrees from the University of the Cumberlands in Education Administration and Secondary Education.

Coach Cantrall is married to Kelly Cantrall, a fellow CHHS and WKU alum.  Kelly works as the human resource manager at Morgan and Morgan in Lexington.
