This is the news from Coach Jimi Burress: Great night at Nelson County for the track team. Lightning ended the meet before it was over, but the first 80% was successful. The Banshees were full strength for the first time this season and they wasted no time getting to work taking the meet win.

Shout out to Jeanie Downs who won both the Triple Jump and Long Jump in PRs and leading the team in scoring with 28 points.

The big news on the individual front goes to two young ladies who now have new school records. Lauren Debold is our new Discus school record holder (82-7) and Buckley Sparks beat her own school record in the 100 hurdles in her first meet of the season with a 17.52 which ranks her number one in the region by a full second and 5th in the state.
