Both our Boys' and Girls' Basketball Teams are off to an incredible start this season! We are so excited to watch their growth and see how they continue to build on the strong foundation of excellence in their programs. Our Academic Team has earned 3rd place in the Heartland League Competition, and our Quick Recall Team brought home an impressive 2nd place finish! These students have been putting in the work, practicing after school, and striving for excellence—and their dedication has paid off. Christmas Spirit is in the Air at Bethlehem! Our halls were filled with joy and festive cheer as we celebrated the season with daily Christmas-themed fun last week! A huge thank you to the Flight Club for their incredible planning and organizing, making each day a merry delight. Special thanks to Coach Bodine for being the amazing sponsor who keeps the holiday spirit soaring high! From cozy sweaters to fun festivities, it's been a wonderful way to bring our school community together.

This week, our amazing FFA students participated in the FFA PALS (Partners in Active Learning Support) program at St. Joseph School right across the street!
FFA PALS is a mentoring program founded by the National FFA Organization that pairs high school agricultural students with elementary students to inspire a love for learning, explore interests in plants and animals, and develop personal skills. This program focuses on building trust, fostering positive self-esteem, and creating meaningful one-on-one connections through fun, hands-on activities. Our FFA students partnered with the 1st-grade class at St. Joseph School to learn about the parts of a tree and why trees are so important. Together, they decorated Christmas trees as part of an art activity and enjoyed an age-appropriate story about the growth of a tree. This program is a wonderful way for our high school students to take on a leadership role, provide guidance and support, and grow alongside their elementary partners. A big thank you to the FFA mentors, counselors, and agriculture teachers for helping make this partnership so impactful! A special thank you to Mr. Matherly for leading this awesome partnership with St. Joseph School!

We hosted another incredible Winter Formal for our student body, and it was truly a night to remember! The evening featured sparkling Christmas trees, a beautifully lit entryway, and plenty of snacks and drinks to keep everyone refreshed. Students had a blast capturing moments in the 360° video photobooth and striking poses in front of the stunning sequin backdrop. The DJ brought the energy, keeping the dance floor alive and the fun going all night long! A huge thank you to our Cheer program—including our amazing coaches, student-athletes, and their dedicated parents—for organizing and hosting such a wonderful event. Everyone looked so beautiful and handsome, truly lighting up the night! Here’s to making memories that will last a lifetime.

This Advent season, our Endow and Pro-Life Club members came together to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with a beautiful and heartfelt baby shower! The event was a meaningful way to reflect on Mary’s "yes" to God and the precious gift of life as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Students played games and brought baby gifts to support local families in need—truly living out the Advent spirit of hope, love, and generosity. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this celebration so special. Your kindness and faith shine brightly in our school community!

The archery team has made a remarkable gesture of kindness by donating the entire $8,209.48 raised during their recent tournament to hurricane relief efforts. After thoughtful consideration and discussions, the team decided to send the funds to Catholic Charities. This act of generosity, championed by Coach David, sets a profound example of selflessness and compassion, reflecting the true spirit of community and service. By focusing on helping those impacted by disaster, the team’s donation fulfills several of the corporal works of mercy, offering hope and support to those facing immense challenges. This is not only a testament to their character but also a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we put others first.

We're incredibly proud of our amazing junior class and their heartfelt reflections on living out Christ's teachings in their daily school life. Students answered the question: "How do you model life after Christ and foster a community of faith in your school?" Their answers will move you! From acts of kindness in the hallways to supporting classmates during tough times, our young leaders are showing what it truly means to walk in Jesus' footsteps.
